Acquiring my first home a the tender age of 21 marked a significant milestone in my life. However, the bliss of homeownership was overshadowed by a sudden onslaught of financial hardships. I was not prepared. The weight of worry intensified as we faced the daunting prospect of falling behind on our mortgage, yearning for guidance and options to save our home.
The absence of someone to turn to left me convinced that foreclosure was our only path, a decision that cast a long shadow over years of emotional and financial recovery. If only there had been someone to offer counsel and offer alternative paths, perhaps the journey back wouldn't have been such a struggle.
